Lawsuit Filed Against Windsor Police Services Board in Relation to June Arby’s Incident

The company that operates a Windsor Arby’s restaurant has filed a lawsuit against the Windsor Police Services Board.

The lawsuit names officers Tim Kettlewell, Shawn Farrand and the police board.

The claim is seeking $500,000 for “defamation, libel, slander, negligence, conspiracy, loss of reputation, unlawful interference with business interest, and lost revenue” and aggravated, exemplary and punitive damages in the amount of $100,000.

The lawsuit claims Arby’s received “numerous threats from members of the community and were forced to lock-down their two locations for three days to protect the restaurants and their employees from potential harm.”
